Starfox Dance

"It's missing 16th background"

submission: Starfox Dance
date: March 15, 2009

A lot of great techno songs have this awesome background synth that plays the same two sixteenth notes in a pattern for each measure. They can be removed in some measures to accent certain parts of the music. A good pattern would be an octave (1 and 8 for low and high) matching the main melody key. The rhythm I think would be best for this song is:

1181181181181188

16th notes per each measure, with the key of the octave changing as the key changes.

Sp1r1T - Forgotten <(^^,)>

"Transitions...."

date: July 20, 2008

Not every transition in a trance/rave song needs to be a measure-long little break in the noise. You can mix it up a little, play around with the EQs, add some effects, play with the pitch. I like that sextuplet (sectuplet? Is that 6 or 7?) you added at the beginning, though. For that, 5/5.

Author's Response:

Sextuplet? O.o You mean Kick roll?

Anyway, Thanks :)

Warehouse of Neglect (Metal)

"Very lovely"

date: July 5, 2008

The vocals could use some working on; when I hear good death metal, it usually has a deep, gravely, grueling voice. The guitar is excellent, the drums could have a little better bass.

SM64 - The Alternate Route

"Aw, come on!!!"

date: June 30, 2008

You didn't use my favorite part of the entire song! You could've mixed it up a little with the bridge! But you didn't! I'm disappointed. Regardless, this is still good music. 4/5

"Fantastic..."

This sounds like the kind of music I'd find in one of those really dramatic scenes in a Final Fantasy game. 10/10

The KNomadz Eternal Play-03

"Definitely good."

date: September 9, 2006

The song is really quite good. The music could go into some sort of bridge part though. It got kind of repetitive. Also, the lyrics needed to be a bit louder, either that or the music slightly softer.

Otherwise, very nicely done. I enjoyed this piece! Make sure to review my audio, too. : )

Fantastic techno music. Great job, sir. Could you do me a favor and tell me what effects you used?

Author's Response:

I think all I used (overall) were Fruit Free Filter, Fruity Delay and Fruity Fast Dist (you can tell now that I used FL).

Thanks for the review :).
